Berry Barley Essence™ is the combination of Green Magma® and the natural
flavors of raspberry and strawberry resulting in a delicious, energizing
drink powder made from the juice of organically-grown young barley grass
and containing active enzymes, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, protein,
chlorophyll and other important phytonutrients.

General Information
The barley grass in Berry Barley Essence is grown in some of the world's
most fertile soil on the Oxnard Plain near the Pacific Ocean in
California. It is grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Barley
grass is an exceptionally nutritious food, containing an abundance of
phytonutrients including antioxidants known to protect the body from
free-radical damage.
When mixed with a glass of juice or water, Berry Barley Essence offers a
convenient chlorophyll-rich whole food with a natural balance of proteins,
minerals, amino acids, active enzymes, and vitamins A, B1, B2, B3 and B6,
C and E, among others.
The mild alkalinity of Berry Barley Essence also helps to neutralize the
acidity caused by eating meat and fatty foods.
Researchers at such leading universities as the University of California
at Davis and George Washington University have found that barley grass
juice contains the potent antioxidants superoxide dismutase,
2"-O-glycosylisovitexin (2"-O-GIV) and vitamin E succinate. Each of these
important phyto-chemicals have been shown to help prevent lipid
peroxidation caused by free-radicals.
Berry Barley Essence is also loaded with chlorophyll which gives barley
and many other vegetables their rich green color. Chlorophyll has been
shown to have detoxifying, antiinflammatory, deodorizing, and
antibacterial benefits.
Many amino acids, the building blocks of proteins, and numerous enzymes
are also found in Berry Barley Essence. Our entire manufacturing process,
including our temperature-controlled, spray-dry technique, has been
uniquely designed to keep the nutrients and enzymes active and intact. The
barley grass juice powder is also protected from oxidation by the addition
of maltodextrin, a complex carbohydrate that not only stabilizes Berry
Barley Essence, but also adds nutritive value and, unlike simple sugar,
does not affect blood-sugar levels.

Ingredients
Powdered juice from organically-grown young barley grass*, maltodextrin (a
complex carbohydrate), raspberry, strawberry and other natural flavors,
chicory root extract (contains FOS), brown rice, stevia extract.
*Certified organically-grown and processed in accordance with the
California Organic Foods Act of 1990.
Contains no added sugar, salt, colorings, or fillers. Free of animal
products, gluten, soy, wheat and yeast.
Suggested Use
Dissolve two teaspoons into an 8 oz. glass of water or your favorite
juice. Do not take with hot liquids since heat will neutralize active
enzymes. Recommended once or twice daily on an empty stomach (20 minutes
before a meal). Keep tightly closed after opening and store in a cool, dry
place
